TS ODBC DataServer Version 1.1 Release Notes
Software Additions 1. Added process to build selection rules. The rules are executed as an internal WHERE clause to allow result sets to contain a subset of the data in a file. 2. Use of the Server Table Name field in the Link Header as the name of the Table in the ODBC application. (IDOL-IV 8.4.0 and above only) 3. Changes to allow upper/lower case names to be accepted by ODBC applications. 4. Added support for date type 8 and new date type 2 functionality. 5. Added a new function to automatically update all previously exposed links within a Data Source. 6. A Link/Table Name cross reference has been added to the list the association between the Link Name and table name. 7. Improved error processing. 8. An API has been included to allow Expose Utility functionality to be imbedded into an application or to be used with a custom front-end. Refer to the TS ODBC DataServer Manual for the implementation details. Software Changes 1. Fixed the error 41 related to problem when using Data Descriptions where no descriptions existed. 2. The problems associated with using a link name that contained a dash or underscore have been corrected. 3. The false bad date report for date type 7 during the execution of the Integerity Check has been corrected. 4. Corrected problem when using Dictionary-IV version 5.2 where the Expose process would return to console mode after pressing <F6>. 5. Corrected an error 14 condition that occurred immediately after the 'Update Selected Links' message. 6. Corrected a problem where the Work File Directory paramater pointed to a directory defined with subdirectories. This had previously caused a failure during the UDD creation. |
